Deskox Brem Suede-Back Desk Blotter

A WRITING SURFACE THAT ACTUALLY FEELS LIKE A WRITING SURFACE

Writing directly on a hard desk is why your handwriting deteriorates after half a page — there is no give at all under the paper. Brem has the slight compliance a blotter is supposed to have, so the pen glides and the nib does not skip. The suede underside grips the desk completely, which means the mat does not travel as you write across it. For anyone who still thinks on paper, this is a meaningful upgrade over a hard synthetic pad.

WHY IT EARNS ITS SPACE ON YOUR DESK

• Gives slightly under the pen — so a nib glides instead of skipping the way it does on a hard desktop.
• Anchors through a full suede underside — which stops the mat creeping as your hand moves across the page.
• Seals the top face against water — so a spilled drink sits on the surface long enough for you to lift the paper.
• Runs the colour right to the edge — with no contrasting stitched border to interrupt a clean desk line.
• Rolls for transport — and relaxes flat again within an hour of being laid out.
