Deskox Filt Wool-Felt Desk Mat

THE QUIETEST SURFACE YOU WILL EVER TYPE ON

Felt does something leather cannot: it absorbs sound. A mechanical keyboard on a bare desk rings through the whole room, and on felt it lands as a soft thock instead. The density also takes the edge off a hard desktop under your forearms without the squashy feel of foam. It is the right mat for a shared room, a late-night session, or anyone whose household has opinions about their keyboard.

WHY IT EARNS ITS SPACE ON YOUR DESK

• Deadens keyboard noise — turning the ring of a hard desktop into a muted thock the rest of the room can live with.
• Cushions forearms without foam squash — because dense pressed felt supports rather than collapsing under weight.
• Warms the surface underhand — which is the difference on a cold morning at a glass or metal desk.
• Lies flat from the first day — with enough weight in the material that the corners do not curl up.
• Brushes clean dry — so crumbs and dust lift off without a wet cloth touching the felt.
